This Privacy Policy describes the data protection practices of MathMatize ("MathMatize," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy applies to information that we collect and use about you when you access or use our website (“Services”).

Use of Information by MathMatize

For students, our servers automatically record information about Your use of the Service, and provide this to your Instructor, such as question/test responses, and scores. The instructors may use this data for the purposes of academic evaluation.

We store and maintain personal and associated account information in order to provide the System, and to assist us in creating, improving, or providing content that is relevant to You.

We use your personal information to provide You with technical support.

MathMatize may use or share anonymous data collected through the Service, including Activity Data without limitation.

Information Obtained by Third Parties

To support and enhance the Service, we work with a third party advertising network (“Third Party Advertising Service Providers”). These Third Party Advertising Service Providers collect and use personal data about your visits to and use of the Website, as well as other websites in order to serve you with advertisements and content tailored to meet your preferences and likely interests or better understand ad effectiveness. Aggregate demographic and interest data will also be used for market research purposes.

You can opt-out of receiving personalized ads from advertisers and ad networks that are members of the Network Advertising Initiative (“NAI”) or who follow the DAA Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Behavioral Advertising using their respective opt-out tools. We use Google Analytics which is a web analytics tool that helps us understand how users engage with the Website. Like many services, Google Analytics uses first-party cookies to track user interactions as in our case, where they are used to collect information about how users use our site. This information is used to compile reports and to help us improve our Website. Sharing Information with Third Parties

MathMatize shares your personal data only when it is necessary to offer the Service, legally required or permitted by you.

We may provide personal data to providers such as Google Cloud and Firebase. These data processors help us bring you the Service. For example, Firebase for authentication we may share your information in order to detect where or how you encountered a bug when using our mobile application.

When you join a classroom you are authorizing MathMatize to share your personal information with the creator of the classroom. This information includes your name, email and activity on the Service related to that classroom.

Data Subject Rights and Data Retention

You can manage your account settings at https://mathmatize.com/accounts to update, amend and correct your information. By request we will erase personal data we hold about you.

Security and Privacy is important to you, and to us.

To protect your privacy and security, we take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting you account access or making corrections to your information. We may ask you to provide certain Personal Information to confirm your identity, and may require that you create and use a password to access certain parts of our Services. MathMatize uses certain physical, managerial, and technical safeguards designed to preserve the integrity and security of your Personal Information and other information we maintain in connection with the Services. Our Services are operated and managed on servers located within Canada and subject to the laws in Canada. If you choose to use our Services from the United States, European Union or other regions of the world with laws governing data collection and use that differ from Canadian law, then you acknowledge and agree that you are transferring your Personal Information outside of those regions to Canada and that, by providing your Personal Information on the Services, you consent to that transfer.

MathMatize may modify or revise this Privacy Notice from time to time. MathMatize will notify Users of any change to our Privacy Notice by posting the revised Privacy Notice with an updated date of revision on our Services.
