Add Tasks to MathMatize Classroom

Instructor guide for creating tasks in MathMatize

Add Tasks to Your Classroom

Tasks are the activities students complete inside a classroom. A task can be a practice set, lesson, assessment, review, or poll session.

Before you add a task

It helps to decide three things first:

  • What students should do: practice, learn, complete an assessment, review, or respond to a poll.
  • Which exercises or poll content should appear in the task.
  • When students should be able to see the task, submit responses, and view results.

If you need to create new exercises first, start with Create an exercise.

Add a task

  1. Open the classroom.
  2. Go to the classroom tasks area.
  3. Choose to add or create a task.
  4. Select the task type.
  5. Add exercises or poll content.
  6. Review the task settings.
  7. Preview the task as a student before making it visible.

Task setup checklist

  • Confirm the task type matches the activity.
  • Confirm the task contains the intended exercises or poll content.
  • Review availability, due dates, scoring, reveal settings, and layout.
  • Preview the task from the student view.
  • If the classroom uses an LMS, decide whether this task should sync grades.
