LTI 1.3 Admin Setup Guide
This guide is for Learning Management System (LMS) administrators who need to configure MathMatize as an LTI 1.3 tool in their institution's LMS (Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, D2L/Brightspace, etc.).
Note for Instructors: If you are an instructor trying to set up MathMatize for your course, this has likely already been done by your institution's administrator. Please refer to the instructor guides for your specific LMS.
LTI 1.3 Connection Details (Manual Setup)
To register MathMatize as an LTI 1.3 tool manually (required for Canvas, Moodle, Brightspace, etc.), use the following configuration details. The exact field names may vary depending on your LMS.

Blackboard Setup (Application ID)
If you are using Blackboard, you can set up the integration quickly using the MathMatize Application ID.
Application ID: d9dd5676-820d-4c5d-85d2-0c70a5e331e7
- In the Blackboard Administrator Panel, navigate to Integrations > LTI Tool Providers.
- Select Register LTI 1.3/Advantage Tool.
- Enter the Application ID above.
- Verify the settings and submit.
After registering, you will receive a Client ID and Deployment ID. Please send these IDs to questions@mathmatize.com to complete the setup.
Required Scopes / Permissions
If your LMS requires you to manually select or input LTI scopes (permissions), please enable the following:

Completing the Setup
After you have registered the tool in your LMS, you will be generated a set of credentials. To finalize the connection, please create a deployment and send the following information to questions@mathmatize.com:
- Client ID
- Deployment ID
- Issuer URL (or Platform ID)
- Authorization URL (if provided by your LMS)
- Token URL (if provided by your LMS)
- Key Set URL (JWKS URL for your LMS, if provided)
Once we receive these details, we will complete the configuration on our end and notify you when the integration is active.
